Jonathan & Charisse - Wynyard Golf Club
Set in over 200 acres of mature woodland and rolling parkland, Wynyard Golf Club is a luxury country wedding venue on the exclusive Wynyard Estate, Stockton-on-Tees. The venue offered wonderful backdrops for Jonathan and Charisse's wedding, including a beautiful hidden lake, and I was looking forward to having a bit of fun shooting the young couple tearing around on a golf cart. Unfortunately the cart used for weddings was in the shop for repairs on the day, but a kindly club member lent me a putter to grab some comical shots on the green!
Sadly, Charisse's granddad, who was to walk her down the aisle, passed away before the wedding. But in a moving tribute the bride had a photo medallion of him attached to her bouquet so he could be with her throughout the day. And in a lovely surprise for guests, Jonathan went to greet his bride-to-be as she entered the room, and hand-in-hand they walked down the aisle together.
